DoESO - Employee Stock Options Evaluator Software |
|
Excerpt from Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) “On March 31, 2004, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) issued a proposed Statement, Share-Based Payment, that addresses the accounting for share-based payment transactions in which an enterprise receives employee services in exchange for (a) equity instruments of the enterprise or (b) liabilities that are based on the fair value of the enterprise’s equity instruments or that may be settled by the issuance of such equity instruments. The proposed Statement would eliminate the ability to account for share-based compensation transactions using APB Opinion No. 25, Accounting for Stock Issued to Employees, and generally would require instead that such transactions be accounted for using a fair-value-based method.”
On April 1st, Decision Options released the first version of DoESO, a user friendly software based on Decision Options proprietary options valuation tool called DoOptima. DoESO is already in use at one of the largest companies in the world. The functionality of DoESO is extensive, allowing users to specify the term structure of risk free rate, volatility and dividends to any duration. Additionally, the early exercise profile can be specified as a function of the stock price movement. To learn more about DoESO and how it will help you both save time and be ready for the upcoming accounting change, please contact us.
